EMove Cruiser Summary

Worried about how long your battery can last? You’ll be pleased to know that EMove Cruiser comes with a powerful 52V 30AH Li-ion battery that lasts up to 50 miles (80 km) with a single charge. Most electric scooters average about two-thirds of that range! Its 600W (1,600-watt peak) motor is also laudable, delivering a top speed of up to 25 mph (40 km/h).

When it comes to construction, the scooter’s 10-inch pneumatic auto-grade tires are an excellent addition that facilitates smooth rides even on rough terrains. The high-speed cruiser also features a solid stem that feels comfortable and safe even at high speeds.

Speaking of safety and control, EMove Cruiser has all the key features you’d expect in a premium scooter. First on the list is an advanced LCD control screen that displays your ride mode, battery life, speed, and odometer. Then there are the dual Xtech semi-hydraulic disc brakes installed on both wheels to help you stop on a dime when needed. Its 22.5-inch-wide handlebars offer an ergonomic grip and riding position to make your rides feel a lot more comfortable. For scooter enthusiasts who plan on taking long trips, this machine comes with an optional seat configuration for improved comfort and stability.

We cannot fail to also mention that EMove Cruiser is rated with IP67 water resistance. There aren’t many scooters in the market that are as tolerant to wet conditions as this. Even so, we wouldn’t recommend riding it during extreme conditions to avoid needless accidents.

Owing to its weight (54 lbs / 24 kg) and the convenient location of its controls, this high-speed commuter gadget is highly stable and suitable for beginners and pros alike. It also boasts all the crucial features you’d expect to find in a long-range electric scooter. And the best part? You don’t have to break the bank to acquire one of these vehicles!

Performance Overview

As we said earlier, the EMove Cruiser electric scooter is powered by a 600W motor with a 1600W peak power. This might not sound like a lot of power, but you’ll be surprised at how smooth it feels on inclines of up to 10 degrees. Accelerating to the top speed feels so effortless and takes only a few seconds to get the scooter rolling!

Supporting this immense power are the pneumatic auto-grade tires that firmly grip the road and make it possible to tackle hills and rough terrains with ease. The dual suspension helps to absorb shock and hits from uneven roads to deliver a smooth and fun ride.

Top Speed & Acceleration

The EMove Cruiser’s 1600W peak motor is the reason this electric scooter is able to reach speeds of up to 25 mph (40 km/h) without showing any signs of strain.

A caveat though is that its controller is fine-tuned to offer ample range in place of a rousing acceleration. Expect excellent but not overpowering acceleration even when riding on a flat and smooth surface. Even so, the EMove Cruiser still accelerates fast and can maintain top speed on varied terrains better than most e-scooter brands we’ve tested before.

Battery Life & Range

The crown jewel of the EMove Cruiser electric scooter is its beastly LG battery. The 52v 30AH battery is up to three times more powerful and longer-lasting than most scooters in this price range. While having such a high voltage lithium-ion battery is a plus, the backing by a renowned manufacturer (LG) that produces its products in ISO-certified facilities is what counts even more.

When fully charged, the Cruiser delivers one of the furthest ranges we’ve seen, covering a whopping 50 miles (81 km). This makes it an ideal pick for riders seeking something for longer excursions or short-distance commuters who only want to charge their gadget once every few days or sometimes even weeks!

Motor Configuration

Concerning motor configuration, the EMove Cruiser boasts a 600W motor with a peak power of 1600W. This is enough to handle up to 350 pounds (158 kg) which is equivalent to the weight capacity of two average-size adults!

The beefy motor rests comfortably near the rear wheel and is powered by a robust 50V 30AH battery. According to the manufacturer, the scooter is rated at 62 miles (100 km) but real-world figures show that the motor hardly goes past a range of 50 miles (81 km). Still an impressive feat that many scooters can only dream of.

Construction & Quality

Nothing was spared in the manufacturing of this electric scooter. Its frame is made of premium quality aluminium alloy to make it sturdy yet lightweight. The handlebars are of good size and comfortable to clutch. At the centre of the handlebar is an advanced LCD cockpit that lets you view your battery charge level, speed, ride mode, and distance, covered at a glance.

While we’re yet to see self-driven scooters, the cruise control function allows you to relish those leisurely rides without doing much with your hands. We love that the thumb throttle and brake levers are located in their rightful position for easier navigation. Another standout feature that you can’t miss spotting in this scooter is the lighting system. The deck has two-button lights, the rear has two red lights for signalling, while there are two more bright lights at the front for visibility at night.

Finally, the EMove Cruiser might not be the lightest electric scooter in the market, but it comes with a brilliant design and build quality for improved portability. The folding handlebars and the telescoping stem are rotated and locked by a central pin in a pin-style folding mechanism. The end product can fit seamlessly in the boot of any-size car or a closet in your home.

Ride Quality

The EMove Cruiser offers nothing short of a flawless ride even on rough roads. Its dual suspension on the front and rear wheels, sizeable deck, and robust pneumatic car grade tires enhance stability and deliver one of the best rides you’ll enjoy on an electric scooter.

Besides the suspension, the Cruiser’s weight provides extra heft to absorb vibrations and unforgiving hits from even the roughest roads. The convenient position and size of its handlebars mean that you can ride the e scooter for longer distances without feeling fatigued.

With such impressive features and ride quality, you can see why YouTube star Eric Decker chose the Cruiser over the Kaabo Mantis Pro during the second episode of the famed Scooter Hunters!

Braking

Bringing the EMove Cruiser to a sudden halt is relatively easy, thanks to its high quality semi-hydraulic disc brakes on the two wheels and the electronic braking on the rear wheel. Together, these give you some of the best stopping power currently available on an electric scooter.

The dual Xtech 140 mm hydraulic brakes are easy to operate, although they need a bit of adjusting before you can start hitting the road. There’s also a set of rear cable brakes to help add an even greater braking power during emergencies.

The EMove Cruiser can come to a stop from 15 mph (24 km/h) with a braking distance of just 3.4 meters. Pretty impressive!

Portability

The EMove Cruiser may not be the lightest e-scooter brand in the current market, but that doesn’t make it the least portable. Far from it.

With a solid stem folding mechanism, telescoping stem, and folding handlebars, you can really compact this e-scooter for easy carry up and down stairs.

This scooter comes with a proprietary pin-style folding mechanism that allows you to fold it up into a neat pack, that can be transported inside the boot of virtually any car. It uses a single pin to lock the stem when folded and when upright.

Lights

One of the EMove Cruiser’s claim to fame is that it has the best built-in lighting package. This is routinely stated by riders on their video reviews and blog posts. You don’t have to worry about darkness when riding the EMove Cruiser at night.

The Cruiser features four deck button lights, with two on either side of the deck at the front (white lights) and two at the rear (red lights). The rear lights also act as turn signals. When engaged, the turn signal lights are also paired with audible beeping. This handy feature prevents you from forgetting to switch off your turn signal.

The front mounted headlight is really great and bright, but we feel that it could have been positioned a bit higher. It’s not too much of an issue however, because night-time visibility is also enhanced with help of the front deck button lights.

Lastly, the EMove Cruiser’s rear light responds to braking, so that it blinks brighter when you are applying the brakes.

Tyres

Another outstanding feature that makes the Cruiser a top-tier electric scooter are it’s high quality tyres. The pneumatic auto-grade tyres not only offer a robust grip, but also help to ensure that this 54-pound (24 kg) scooter balances well on the road. Even better is the guaranteed longevity; you don’t have to worry about punctures from potholes or sharp objects.

The Cruiser’s tubeless tyres seal against the rim of the scooter wheel (just like on a motor vehicle), and provide solid control and much safer handling. These type of tyres tend to be stronger, thicker, and more resistant to getting flats. If you do end up getting a flat, it is fairly easy to repair, using a can of  liquid puncture repair.

Deck

Every electric scooter rider loves a large and robust standing surface, and the EMove Cruiser manufacturers certainly understand this! Offering 58.5 cm x 19.5 cm of deck space, you won’t find many electric scooters that are this spacious in the market.

Additionally, when you are travelling at night, it helps to feel that extra sense of security afforded by the larger deck size.

On top of the size, the deck is thick and is made from reinforced aluminium alloy to deliver unrivalled strength and longevity. On every end of the deck are hard plastics that act as a protective bumper. These help to reduce the chances of hurting your legs or damaging walls or any other object you may bump into.

Controls & Display

All controls are located in the cockpit area which extends to the handlebars. Next to the right handlebar is the LCD which provides insights into the e scooter’s essentials such as speed, battery charge, and modes.

The display features a USB port at the back, designed to install updates to the firmware and low voltage smartphone charging.

On the left handlebar are the brake lever and a button console that controls the headlight, electronic horn, and turn signals. There’s another brake lever on the right handlebar which also houses the key-start ignition.

On this point, the Cruiser really excels. No two keys are the same (just like a motor vehicle), so you can be rest assured that only you will be turning on your electric scooter.

Water Resistance

The Cruiser is one of the few electric scooters in the market with an official waterproof rating.

It claims an IP67 rating throughout its entire body including the battery housing and the lighting system. All the vital controls and accessories are properly sealed to avoid water damage and that means one thing – the fun continues even if it pours!

Reliability, Warranty & Customer Support

Built with rock solid dependability in mind, the EMove Cruiser is a scooter you can completely rely on for your daily use. This electric scooter is built with acute attention to detail, and with a focus on durability, safety, and power

The EMove Cruiser comes with a 1-year warranty. The customer service and support from this brand is also of a very high-standard.

Maintenance

What can we say? This electric scooter is tough as nails and will last you for many years. Thousands of happy and satisfied riders – worldwide – can’t be wrong.

Just a few things to note: The main stem features a few folding joints that may require simple maintenance now and then. Besides this maintenance requirement, the scooter comes with several screws which need a bit of tightening before the initial take off.

Just like any other performance product, keep your scooter clean and always conduct a thorough inspection on the tires before any ride.

Known Issues

You don’t generally hear of many complaints from users regarding the EMove Cruiser electric scooter. However, some customers have had trouble with the key ignition and screws that get loose occasionally.

The most common issue with the Cruiser is if you have a troublesome starter system. Some users complain that the starter won’t activate until you have turned the key multiple times.

As we said earlier, there are several screw heads on the Cruiser’s stem folding mechanism and deck. It’s important to check and tighten them regularly as they could get loose after several rigorous rides.

EMove Cruiser: Is it worth the money and is it worth buying?

The EMove Cruiser is the benchmark for long-range commuter electric scooters.

You will be hard-pressed to find another scooter model that packs in so many rider-focused features. With amazing performance features such as driving range and braking, there are also many other features built in, that are usually only available to other scooter brands as after market modifications or more expensive upgraded models.

Out of the box you are getting semi-hydraulic brakes, an incredible front and rear suspension system, folding handlebars, and smart direction indication signals.

We highly recommend this scooter – as well as all the thousands of extremely happy riders around the world.

The EMove Cruiser from Voro Motors is rock solid, practical, thoughtfully designed, and build to last! Year after year.
